Just What You Were Waiting For: Live Bull Riding Comes to YouTube

YouTube has been adding more and more live sporting events to its lineup over the last few months and years. With the Copa America soccer championship and cricket matches from India, the site managed to draw quite a few viewers with this, too (there have even been rumors of live NBA and NHL games on the site as well). Today, YouTube added another sport to its roster – one you probably didn’t see coming: professional bull riding.

YouTube and Google have teamed up to bring you “livestreamed events as well as original programming, interviews, highlights and your videos” from the world of bull riding across the U.S.

According to Google, over the last 20 years, about 100 million fans have tuned in to see these epic matches of bull vs. man (how many of those tuned in 20 years ago and never did so again isn’t clear, though). This year, you will be able to watch the following events (and more, as Google promises):

  • January 6 from Madison Square Garden in NYC
  • April 21 from Des Moines, Iowa
  • April 28 from Uncasville, Connecticut
  • May 5 from Billings, Montana
  • May 18 from Pueblo, Colorado
